I have a question about Bosch injectors. I'm currently using 0-280-150-210 injectors on my bike. I want to go with two injectors per cylinder using Kurt staging. I've got it all worked out except for finding room. The stock injectors are too wide to install a second set.

The "new style" Bosch injectors are very narrow and would work perfectly. The one thing I haven't been able to find out is, are they the same length as the old style? If they are then it will make my life a lot easier.

Does anyone know?

Some are, some aren't.. Best I can say for you. I've seen two injectors side by side, one was about 10mm shorter than the other.

Thanks for the quick reply. I should have guessed that they'd vary in length. What a pain.

I've been doing a lot of parts hunting since I posted and it looks like the injectors for a 2000 Mazda B4000 pickup will work, at least as far as flow rate, impedence, etc. I'm hopeful that the size is right too, but won't know until I see one in person. From the pictures I've seen, it looks good.

Barring somebody with a B4000 or Ford Ranger 4.0 seeing this post and being willing to take their truck apart to measure an injector, I think I'll just order one tomorrow and measure it once it comes in.

It depends on if the diameter is a problem, length, or both. I have some from an '05 Suzuki SV650(650cc v-twin) that are only about 1.825" long and less than .625" wide not including the plug. They are only about 19lb.hr, though(200cc/min) and have a special spray pattern.

And yes, tiny turbos DO kick butt.
