Can anyone guide me to source(s) to purchase injectors? I can only find sites that want to sell stock replacement. Without entering my vehicle, NO choices. Or if I could figure out how to find another vehicle that used 22 lb/hr injector. Thanks

Well, after posting a lightbulb went off, and I checked Summit Racing. They have options for Accel Fuel Injectors. Anyone have experience with this brand? Other sources would be appreciated. Thanks

I am no expert on injectors as I haven't personally bought any yet, but I have seen posted over and over again on different boards such as thirdgen.org to stay away from Accel injectors.

To be fair, I have seen people post in that they use them and all is well but way to many negative posts for me to ever consider them.

The brand I keep hearing about that people love is Ford Racing injectors (no they aren't made by Ford) and those are the ones I will probably go with.

What type of engine are they for?
Turbo?
Supercharged?
What type of injectors do you need (top feed/side feed)?
What flow rate are you looking for?

The reason i put these questions to you is because the types of injectors used for a big V8 are quite different to what you should use for a smaller 4-cylinder big turbo engine - outright flow isnt everything.

If you compared a 457cu.in V8 making 600hp, and a 2.0L turbo 4-cyl making 300hp... by theory you would want similar flowing injectors for both.
That is correct, but what is often forgotten is that the 4-cylinder at idle will need a lot less fuel than the V8 at idle, due to the non-linearity of the power delivery from the turbocharged engine, and the fact that the engine is a fraction of the size with half as many injectors.

That means you want injectors on the 4-cylinder engine that have more precise control down at the lower end of duty cycle, but still have the flow up higher.

For the 4cylinder turbo, i recommend SARD injectors.

For V8s, basically anything with the flow will do the job. Rochester/Delphi or any other known brand is a sure bet.

I should have ~230 HP at flywheel. I found Ford Racing - 24lb Bosch 0280150947 -Truck/Cobra SVT - NEW - Disc type. Was thinking maybe these. I sent a question off to supplier to see if will fit in 2.9L V6. I'm afraid they've never seen or heard of the Cosworth V6. Thanks Hugh

If its a stock engine, I would stick with injectors that are pretty close to the stock ones.

I havent been able to find if your injectors are top feed or side feed with some quick google searching, so you'll have to find that out.

Well FIC makes both top and side feed injectors. PTE is also another good brand of injectors. My 1000cc injectors are PTE's and they are great. You probably want to go with low-z injectors for that BBC you have their. Just google them. I would post links but google them and you'll find tons of distributers selling them. I prefer top feed injectors over side feed ones. They just seem a lot snappier. I just put some 1300cc side feeds in a RX-7. It's just more stuff to seal off and leak in the future.
