HI all, I load the new code 2.8 in my MSII v3 and I found a bunch of new features like ASE Hot and others useful parameters, but one of these caption my atention, the "Injection Timing Delay", I've read about it in the megamanual but I'm a bit confused about set it right, I set it on idle for the number makes the WideBand read richer but I don`t know if is the way, can anyone explain better this feature?.

BTW: My engine 4 cyl. 8 valves 2.0 and my setting in this parameter is 38

Best regards all,

Injection timing delay means that instead of starting injection shortly after the tach pulse, it waits , in your case, 38% of the time interval between tach pulses. Now because this is not sequential injection each injector bank goes to 2 cylinders, so it won't squirt at the same point in the engine cycle for both cylinders, but by moving it around you may be able to improve your idle. There is no way to come up with the best number for you to use. What you have to do is adjust it from 0% to at most about 80% and see where it gives you the best idle - either highest vacuum or leanest or whatever you are tuning for. The idea is to avoid injecting into an open exhaust valve. Since MS is a banked injection system, you will never do this on all cylinders, but if it occurs on one or two cylinders, then it would be better to move the timing on all the cylinders to a place where it avoids this on all cylinders.

Thank you for your response, So I've play more with this parameter, in my case afects me not only the idle but the higher rpms too so this one is for more than a few runs.

Hi,

all the questions I had about this topic were answered by Mr.Grippo. So it pays to use the search function, but searching is not always that straightforward as it was in this case for me.

May I vote for this being added to the manual ? (kind of copy/paste job ;) ).
