I am going to use fuel rail from Ross Machine. I am using bungs for my manifold. I am wondering how I should drill the holes in the fuel rail? I would like not to have to buy the expenisive stepped drill bit. Any suggestions would be appriciated.
Thanks,
Colter

Seems like I read a thread somewhere where someone had found a way to make a bit out of more common parts for less money than the 'performance' shops sell them for. I didnt bookmark it and cant remember even what board I saw it on, if I find it again I will post back here. I also think I have seen them for sale on ebay.

efahl,
Thanks for the links. I don't have time right now but I will give them a good study.

I have all the tooling to make fuel rails. if your only doing one set it doesn't make sense to invest in the all the tooling required. let me know if i can help you out. i also leak test my fuel rails prior to shipment so i know they are leak free when you go to install them.

I wanted to thank you for the reply and tell you that I will keep you in mind. I have been discussing my project with my dad who is a machinist/welder. He has agreed to tig weld my injector bungs into the manifold. I think we will also be able to workout the rails. I am wondering do I have to machine the injector o ring seat into the rail or can I get away with out it?
Thanks,
Colter

Saved this link in my favorites. This is what I am looking for.
By the way I was born and raised in The Dalles, Oregon just north of you.
Thanks,

I'm glad I could help. Are you still in Oregon?

Right now I am living in Seattle. My wifes in grad school at UofW. She drives my project every other day so I don't get to work on it. But I figure I will have everything I need to swap it in when I get a chance.
Will be moving back to Oregon hopefully sooner then later.
