Where is the EDIS6 module located?

I was out at a salvage yard today and found plenty of EDIS coil packs, but no EDIS6 control modules. Where did Ford hide them? I was primarily looking at cars (sable, taurus, etc) from around 96 and up.

Thanks

Mike

Nope, your not going to find them on 96 or newer cars. The EDIS functions are part of the ECU on those models.

Your better off looking on the Passenger side forward of the Battery radiator support on Ford Explorers and Rangers with V6 engines, all Exploders from 91-95 have EDIS 6, except for the 95-96 with the 5.0 v8. sure the Aerostar vans have them too, but it depends on the JY what inventory they carry. The Explorers are much more common.
