Basic question regarding VR sensor and direct coil control

Post by carjbre02 »

Hello, i got MSII V3.0 and a 5.7 TBI.
I needed some help here..
if i wire it for direct coil control, can i still run wires from the HEI module to MSII and it will work (e.g. pin R to MS #24 and pin E to MS #36). or do i need to completely bypass the HEI module and hook up the wires on the coil?
basically i don't wanna add anything to the vehicle, i just wanna be able to make a harness that plugs from my truck to MSII.

will i need to add a VR sensor to my truck. I look at MS' diagram and it has the 2 pins on the top of the HEI 7 pin module going to a VR sensor, and on my truck's diagram it goes to the pick up coil. maybe there's a VR sensor in the pick up coil but i don't know.
Also when i read about the HEI module it says it uses a VR sensor pick up, but then i need to use the Hall input circuit instead??
