V8

Post by vagman1 »

Hello all,

This is my first post here and english is not my native so please be patient :)
A friend of mine has two strange problems with his V8 setup. It is MS2 ver 2.3 EDIS8. First problem (from the start of this project) is with the ReqFuel. When we put our values i.e. 5600ccmV8, 8x360ccm injectors(12Ohm), 2 squirts per eng cycle we get some number. So far so good. Then when we want to run the engine it is almost impossible! Obviously there was lack of fuel!? When we almost doubled the ReqFuel(by storing incorrect inj.size)to about 22, seems everything goes ok then after. Fuel pressure is 4bar.

Our second problem is with connecting our existing 2inj drivers with 8 injectors. Is there some specific rule of thumb or order? How could we connect these 8 injectors to get best results when we use 2 squirts?

Thanks in advance for your answers and wish Happy New Year to all.

Thanks Lance!
Think all these possibilities are double and triple checked. We have same
issues even when engine is warm. Inj. opening time is 1ms. Could it be due to low current/power rating of the drivers? Soon will check the signals with scope.
Regards!
