I was at the speed shop today looking for a boost sensitive fuel pressure regulater because thats what the manuel says you need. But when I talked with the owner he said you dont need a boost sensitive one as long as your injectors can keep up with your horsepower goals. what every ones opinion on this? Also if you should run one what ratio of fuel psi increase to map psi increase should I look for? The fpr at the speed shop was a 1 to 1 ratio.

Yes... get one, 1 to 1 ratio. The MAP referenced (remember it's not just boost) reg will lower the FP during high vacuum and raise the FP under boost, this will maintain the proper pressure across the injector and give better fuel control all across the board.

TT350chevelle is absolutely right! Get one! Somewhere in these forums I posted my attempts at not using one with a turbo. The conclusion was to use it. 1:1 is the most common and the one that most people use. This keeps the fuel pressure proportional to the intake pressure so your VE tables don't look crazy trying to increase the amount of fuel being injected past the rising intake pressure. I tried this. It didn't work. You could always install one, and then dis-connect the boost line going to it, and see how MS works without it. I also did this...and it didn't work either.

Yes, get one in a 1:1 ratio, like the others have said.
