no. of squirts - short "?"

Hi,

IIRC the default for MS2 is 2-squirts alternating.
Is that with bank-wise injector scheme or are the injectors wired in "x"-like manner ?

Point is I clearly notice a smoother running at idle with simultaneous squirt rather than alternating. And this is with bank-wise wiring. The number of squirts (i.e. 4 or 2) does not have much effect on smoothness at all.
Therefore "simultaneous" is what I want to keep at the moment and could only be kept away from doing so if there´s a good reason against - like that pressure fluctuations at high revs will be evident and bad.

Hi,

in addition I wonder if it makes sense to teach MS2 change the injection scheme with RPM.

Point is, there are serious reports that 4squirts (with the small injectors that the Rover V8 comes with) improve the torque and acceleration at low RPM´s (IIRC), while I could imagine that 2squirts have some advantage at higher RPMs (DC?). Perhaps it would be fine if MS could do 4squirts up to (for instance) 2000U/min and afterwards switch to 2squirts.

If it´s a bad idea (obviously it´s nothing that has been bothered about so far?, so chances are high thats it´s a foolish idea) then do ignore me today :)

Hendrik.

Kannst Du mir ein PM schicken.. Ich moechte mich vorstellen?

I too have noticed improvement in sim/4 squirts in my 5 litre Rover based V8 in my TVR (green ring Injectors).. however it does mean small chnges in PW have a large effect in AFR.

Sim/4 squirts is definite the way to go..
