so i got my vw 16v running on v2.2 with spark. i've been trying to get rid of this ping and have had no luck! tried using megalogviewer to tune it and got somewhat close and still at about 3500 and up it pings a lot. anyone have any ideas??? always using 93 octane and have verified timing at 6 degrees.
specs: 2.0 16v block with 1.8 16v head 2032cc

Is that at idle or when it pings? Are you sure the advance of the engine matches MS values at RPM's other than idle? Do you have a turbo? Verify that your rev limiter is not to cut fuel at around 3500 RPM.pix wrote:have verified timing at 6 degrees.
