Hello all,

Another newbie here. I'm just learning about the MS and all of it's features, and to say the least it can be a little overwhelming but i'm definitely looking foward to getting this beast tuned. My first question is: I've been told that 50 lb injectors are overkill for my setup, so should i swap them out for 42's or can i detune my 50's? since this does away with the mass air. I guess this would be a good starting point for me and anything else anyone would recommend would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

331 forged and balanced internals, Brodix st50 heads with a 9.0 to 1 compression, comp xtreme 274hr cam, msd 50lbers with stock fuel rails.

See http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx. Your 50s flow enough for ~635HP. That said, the potential problem with larger injectors than your app requires is that it can be a little difficult to get a perfect idle. Were I you, I'd go ahead with the install with your current injectors and give it a shot. I'd guess that you're not too terribly concerned with emissions so you have a pretty good chance of them working just fine provided you use an MS-II based ECU. The MS-I can only change fueling pulsewidths in 0.1ms increments so you can end up in a situation where the idle is , for example, too rich at 2.1ms but too lean at 2.0. MS-II allows much finer control of the pulsewidth. PS: where in SW FL are you? I'll be building a home next year or so on some property I have on Pine Island and am over that way fairly often.. PM me if you need to.
