AFR Won't Drop

Post by slo_5_0 »

Wide band AFR creeps higher as RPM raises no matter what the VE is set to. Fuel pressure rises with boost. Engine is supercharged and logging boost shows a steady gain in pressure as expected. I have 96 pound injectos and max 8lbs boost. These injectors should be good to 900+ horsepower. I was running 80 MPH at the 1/8 mile - which is less than 400 HP. Engine pulls fine to about 4000 then starts to go flat but will still rev to 6000. So leads me to believe it isn't getting enough fuel. Fuel lines are -10 from the rear sump, split into -8 into the fuel rails and the fuel pump is brand new, good for 1200hp.

Is it possible that I have something messed up on the injector setting that wouldn't allow the injectors to stay open even if the data log shows duty cycle over 130 and pulse width over 25? Both of which to me mean the injectors are staying open 100% of the time. And with this size injectors should just be flooding the engine - but AFR creeps to 14.2.

do you have any type of fuel filter and do you have a boost referenced fuel pressure regultor because according to the duty cycle the injector are wide open

Thanks for the thought, yes, I do have a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pressure does indeed rise one to one with boost.
