MS-II daughter card prolem?

Hey everyone,
I've had my megasquirt up and running for nearly 2 months. just about have all the quirks sorted out.

Anyhow, its a version 3 board with the MS-II daugther board.

as I stated everything seemed fine. I had noticed In the factory wiring diagram that the 2 "banks" of injectors were spliced together in the wiring harness. this was keeping me from running alternating squirts and I wanted to try that to see if I could get the idle to be more stable.

Today I tore into the harness today to bi-sect the two circuits, when I started it, It was only running on one bank. apparently it was running both banks on one driver before. I "very hopefully" tested the wiring and that was OK. so I pulled the case apart on the megasquirt and found that Q1 had no input. I got out the schematics out and traced back through U4 (input and ouptut A) and to the MS-II daughter card where I found a flat 5V at pin 21 (PWM0-1) This tells me that the pin is connected to the circuit and appears to indicate a fault within the daughter card itself.

does anyone have any suggestions about what I may have missed? Or is there any likely problem with the board (that I have overlooked) that would have taken out the Daughtercard?

It could be a settings issue. Could you please post a copy of your MSQ file?

And that's exactly why we post these questions!

Thanks so much for the tip. I read the post you linked to and thought to myself how could that be? Then I remembered about a week ago when I was linking the laptop to the megasquirt everything was blank and it said ECU not set. I went and set it but I guess I was'nt paying enough attention and sure enough it is set to 2 Microsquirt.

Now I"m going out to set it back and see if that helps.

I bet it does.....

I changed the ECU setting to 1 MSII. This got the other injector driver working. However, when I changed to alternating squirts it goes way rich and stalls.

I know this is not the right forum for that type of problem but does anyone have any insight on this.

Here's my .msq

I noticed that MSQ had the ECU type set to 2. I'd fix that first.

Sorry, that was the .msq from before I switched it, It's definitely one now and running on both banks. But it still goes rich when I switch to 2 squirts alternating.

I'll post about this on the tuning fuel board with the latest .msq, but that will be later when I'm home.

But thanks for taking the time to review my situation.

Ok, in that case if it runs well with one squirt setting and richer with another, you probably need to tweak the injector opening time setting.
