Connection problems

Post by torstein »

I have reached the point of installation where i am supposed to test some in MegaTune. I have loaded the firmware OK, ver. 2.890. I am using e Profilic USB to Serial adapter on my laptop, and installed the latest drivers. I have never earlier for other usage had trouble with this adapter. I installed the firmware using the "update" menu in the "MS Download 2.0", and if I am not completely wrong, this should copy the settings i need for MegaTune to work, but I am getting a error message when trying to start MegaTune.

I have attached the error message that I am getting.

As far as I know, all the settings for my USB adapter is correct.... I have also tryed with different firmware versions, with the same result.

I found the problem. For some reason on my install, in the folder: C:\Program Files\MegaSquirt\car1\mtCfg in the file "called megatune.cfg" the first line was saying: "COM3", when I always have used com1. I changed this value to "COM1" and everyting was working fine.
