MSefi.com read only forum (Jan.15,2018)

My computer crashed a couple days ago, so I've lost all my Megasquirt files. So yesterday I tried to connect my laptop to my Megasquirt to get my MSQ file back and continue my tuning. But, I'am not able to connect to the Megasquirt. I'am using Tunerstudio to tune the Megasquirt, I did'nt saw anything to be able to get your project back, so I tried to create a new project and see if I could get it back. When i created the project the connection test was succesful, but after finished to create the project, it did'nt connect anymore.

What can I do to get my tuning back, If don't want to restart from scratch.

Make sure you are set up for the correct firmware and COM speed in TunerStudio. I've occasionally seen it default to the wrong COM speed.

I checked it a couple of time and everything is fine for that, and the connecting test was succesful.

But when I open Tunerstudio with the new project that I've just made it doesn't connect with the Megasquirt so I can't get my tuning back.
The new project have not the same name as the old one wich is in the megasquirt. Does it have to have the same name to work ???

Or what can I do to get my tuning back and continue to work on it ???

The name doesn't have to be the same. Just make sure it has:

The right firmware.
The right COM port.
The right communications speed setting.

All these need to be right for it to work.

Ok finaly I tried to connect it again and it was still not working. The connection test just not wanted to finish. So after 10 minutes waiting it, I decided to try start a new project. After that everything was working, I don't know what was the problem but it works

Have you updated to the lateset TS? I would get wierd glitches every once in a while prior to the latest update oF TS, now everything works perfectly.

Yes, I have updated to the lastest version before aptemting to connect.
