Is there anyway to change the default MAF transfer function? TunerStudio doesn't do it and I have looked through the setting files for megatune. I thought it could be changed with programming, but I can not find it.

The current software set does not have a setting to update it, although it is just another table similar to CLT and IAT tables.

Yea I know how to adjust that table. I got my car started and idling the other day. Just I have increased the correction % from 130 to 170. I know the transfer function for my MAF sensor so I wanted to program that in so the flows would be closer.

Also, when using MAF only does it matter what the fueling algorithm is set to or should it be changed to alpha n mode?

Just leave the fuel settings for speed density
Fuel Settings > Injector Control > Speed density
but change the signal source to MAF in the settings.
Fuel Settings > MAP vrs MAF usuage

MAF uses the speed density algorithm, but forces Ve = 100 because there is no longer a need to a have a Ve table to estimate the % filling of the cylinders; the actual air flow into the engine is known. If you use the RPM settings for blended operation of MAP / MAF, the switch can be seen in the logs - Ve = 100 when running MAF. The RPM > X settings seem reversed to me - I had to play with it for a bit to get things to work out the way I expected.

My car runs much better with this set up - much smoother through acceleration / deceleration transitions.

What about the spark table and A/F ratio table. It says it uses MAP so it must estimate a value. Do you know how MS does this? I know in the ford EEC its a ratio of air in to how much air can fit in the engine or cylinder (not sure which one yet)

Yes MS estimates the pressure the same way. It is standard to use the ideal gas law to convert MAF to MAP and vice versa.
