Hidden EFI systems--make it look like a carb motor

What can I do here for a Mopar 440? No way in heck do I want injectors and fuel rails standing up under a 1960's hood, so either the top of a TBI setup needs to be mounted to the top of a Carter AVS, or injectors mounted under the intake. Anyone have any ideas about this? By the way, the bottom of the intake is on the outside of the motor.

That's tricky but possible. Is there enough room for under-intake injectors in the lifter valley?

Ah, a fellow Mopar fan (in addition to Matt, of course!).

I've been working on some BB setups for a few years. What kind of car do you have???
No easy way to do the injectors under the intake unless it was perhaps a tunnel ram with steep runners, you could then mill the plenum shorter and somehow affix an adapterplate. That would then probably be tough to hide under an aircleaner, then.
Underneath a 'standard' manifold would be almost impossible, I looked at this and the only possibility would be 8 injectors on a common rail, but then it is impossible to install -- the opposing injector layout won't allow the rail to be installed.
TBI would surely be easiest, but depending on your desired horsepower it might be tough to get sufficient air and fuel. There is an ebay seller called extremeefi that mods TB units for more airflow. I'd recommend a 454 TB, hogged out a little bigger if needed, early 454 injectors (rated at 90 lbs/hr), and fuel pressure cranked up as needed to increase fuel flow. 2 fuel lines run out the rear of the TB and down to the frame rail. If you currently have an aircleaner sized for a 5 1/8" carb neck (your AVS reference suggests you do), then visually speaking Bob's Your Uncle with a 454 TBI.
To use a 454 TBI it is best to get a spreadbore intake as the bore spacing on the GM TBIs is wider than a carb plenum, and the 454 unit is worse with its larger/wider bores. However, it fits nicely on the rear section of a spreadbore manifold.
Search thru my posts, I've compiled a lot of GM TBI info over the years, and some of my posts have helpful links in them.

Only real practical way I can see of making it work would be with GM TBI's. However you have to pay $$$ to get a 454 TBI that's been modded enough to flow enough air and fuel for any amount of power. The efi 454's were what, less than 300hp I think and in stock form their TBI flow is not generous. I also hear find time-to-time you can find an old holley commander 4bbl tbi out there, would be your best bet if you could find one.

How about something like this, it's 750 cfm with the option to bore it out to 1000cfm. Top that off with a big enough air clearer, it'd be hard to tell that there wasn't a carb under there.

Click on the pic for details.

Here is another TB option from FAST. It's pricy but looks like it would hide nicely under a 14" air cleaner.
