I was just wondering if it would be posible to have ms control a comonrail fuel injection setup on a diesel.
I do not have ms yet nor have I used it before the engine I would like to put this on is a mercedes 3.0 inline 5 cly converted to use a comonrail fuel sys.

any ideas?

I don't think it would be up to the task. Commmon rail systems use varing fuel pressure and injector opening time to supply fuel to the cylinders. The injectors also require a a high voltage spike to get them off the seat due to the extream fuel pressures. I know the Dodges run 24000 psi at max pressure.

Thats kind of what I thought. I found a guy on the net that sells a convertion kit for that motor but is like 3500 just for the ecu fuel pump and injector rail and injectors. the rest you have to do your self. was just wanting to know if there was a cheaper way to do it.
