Overfeuling and not getting it to idle.

Post by tvdl2000 »

here's the laydown

working MS2 V3.0 with 2.89 firmware.

I cannot get it to idle

I am unsure of what injector settings to use and can't find the right info that will tell me how to set it up.

Using Original edis for ignition and running 4 255 cc/minute injectors in port injection engine fires in 1-3-4-2 configuration and injectors 1 and 4 are coupled as wel as 2 and 3 are coupled (electrically offcoarse)

what I am most interested in is do I need to set MS up for 2 or for squirts per engine cycle. as wel as alternating or simultanious.

even suggestions for when trying to set it up and suggestions for getting my 2.0 16 valve 4 cilinder engine to run....

almost forgot to say what idle system i'm using :P

PWM ford Idle valve... it opens when applying power. do I have to set up the spare port F-idle port? what settings do I give the girl.....

If anyone needs some sort of files let me know and I will put them up here....

To make overfueling issues go away, use smaller numbers in the VE table in the areas where you're running too rich.

In the MegaManual here.

It's an experiment with each engine - try each and use what works best. Seriously.
PWM ford Idle valve... it opens when applying power.
When attempting start-up with multiple features, you may want to un-plug your IAC and regulate with your throttle stop for now. That will reduce the number of simultaneous factors that will drive you crazy trying to deal with them all at once. When you have idle fuel and timing well adjusted, then you can engage the IAC, knowing that's the only thing you're dealing with at the moment. As I remember, sanity is a wonderful thing.

it would be nice IF I had a throtle stop adjustment. unfortunatly it is a fixed value and only a small bypass hole with screw adjustment is provided. however it is too small to keep engine running @ idle. I could fabricate a throtle stop.

and thanks DIYAutoTune for answering something like 99 percent of all asked questions!
