Power and Signal Grounds

Why is it that the schematics show no distinction between the power-grounds and signal grounds. This would be good to know in troubleshooting noise issues. Can someone resolve this for me?

The two ground planes meet at the DB37 connector so they're not completely isolated. The power ground plane uses R43's ground pad and all components on the heat sink except U5. Everything else grounds to the signal plane.
