IAC unreilable

Issue - Idle speed unpredictable
Given - MS II controllor with GM IAC with production Throttle Body.
New set-up (first time user)
Raised step time to 5.0ms
Everthing is working correctly except my idle speed is un-predictable
After carfully reading the manual (ten times) I am not clear on two items.
1. The manuel show the IAC wired (GM Squire connector) two differnet ways in two different sections.
The diffenents makes the IAC run in reverse from each other (it swappes coil A)
2. Software - Is 0 steps high idle or slow? - the manal again states to both ways (in my opionion).
Start (CranK) at 180 counts and 0 steps is wide open.
Not knowing one of these I can not determine what is correct. When the coolant temperature raises and the pindle restricts air - does the steps increase or decrease?
Understand this seems like a pretty basic question - but it has me fooled... everthing else went very well - cold starts took a while... Thanks MegaSquirt
Wants - add idle feedback
Thanks - Craig_Mark
