IAC messing with volt signal

Im looking thru some logs and the voltage has stayed around 13.7 since I added the iac motor. before I hooked up the motor(GM screw in-off a junkyard car) it was showing 14.2

now, my standalone gauge is showing 14.1 so my thinking is that the IAC valve is pulling down the volts at the relay board but the alternator is not sensing it.

how do I fix this? I know there is some voltage based compensation and Id rather not have any compensation

If IAC is losing you 0.5V despite the low current it draws, something is seriously wrong somewhere. Can you see the voltage rising when you unplug the IAC?
