Re: information about megasquirt
By your pics, you've got a flapper system so similar to the one fitted to early Rover V-8s. I have one of those and am using an MSII V3, which I built from a DIY kit. You can get rid of the flapper and use vacuum or hot wire flow sensing. All the other sensors and injectors remain stock.krazvy wrote:i don't know much about this engine ..... i know only that is 2000cc and it has 113hp stock .....it's like the B200F only it's a bit stronger ....the internals from B19E are stronger than the B200F. and i don't know what version of the megasquirt can be mounted on the car .... the engine is from 1983 ..... if it helps here are some pictures with the engine .....
I'm not sure what ignition yours uses. If standalone, you can keep that. Or change it to a mapped system using the MS.
If your have some electronics experience, it's well worth building your own unit. Apart from the considerable saving cost wise it will give you a better understanding of how it works. That for most is a pretty steep learning curve.
