I want to put ls coils on my bike. Are they fired just like a standard coil, but with a low current 5v signal? If i were to wire them to my ground switched ign module with some kind of 5v regulator in the switched lead to the coils, would that work out alright? Im keeping stock ign and microsquirting the bike.

They need a 5 volt pulse. See this link for dwell time and other details:

Trigger them from the Microsquirt - I don't think there is a good way to trigger them from the stock ignition module.

My particular engine is a v4 with a 180 degree crank. I need 4 ignition drivers with this bike, thats why im keeping the stock ign module. Plus the crank pickup is weird, and i cant change it because its built into the starter clutch mechanism. I was thinking maybe a 555 timer set to trigger a countdown from when the stock ign mod triggers, count down how much needs to be subtracted then trigger rising edge of coil pulse.
