Any one knows if this TPS works with Mega Squirt II v 3.0, if so how if the cable has 3 lines. Thank you for your help, if so this will save me $100.

Thanks for your help

Think MS will work with near any TPS.
To identify the connections you'll need a DVM set to resistance.

Open the throttle about half way and measure the resistance between all the pins in turn. One pair will give a reading which is the sum of the other two. That pair go to the supply voltage and ground. The third one is the output to the MS.
Now close the throttle. The pair with the smallest resistance are output and ground. Since you already know which one is output, you've identified all three.

What engine do You have and what engine does this TB come from?
I'm running MS-I on my M102 engine (MB S123) without TPS and it's quite OK.

I have the same engine in my w123 turbocharged, the throttle body its coming from a 300e (w124). This is a sample picture, the one i got its like brand new, i have a friend that sells w123-124-201 parts and other models in a very good price so i am trying to use mercedes benz components, the throttle body it cost $10. I am doing a research for the rest of the sensors, i am planning to buy a MSII 3.0. This weekend the new intake manifold and exhaust manifold will be done, previously i had a t04 turbocharger, no i am using a T28 .86 AR, so i am improving the previous manifolds i builded.

Can you give me the info of the sensors that you are using, i am just about to buy the sensors in US, but maybe it wont be necessary if i can use the originals.

Thanks

Adolfo

I'm using MB sensors:
  • CLT sensor is the standard one that displays the temperature in the hood (now I've got two of them)
  • IAT sensor - this one is from M111/M104 engine. However it seems that the one from M103 is cheaper.
I've calibrated the sensors using EasyTherm, thermistor and Ohmmeter.

Hi
To me the throttle body looks like a part from a KE Jet equipped M102 or M103 MB engine.
If so, the "TPS" in the picture is not a TPS. It is a switch where one contact is closed at closed throttle
and another is closed at WOT.

Check with a DVM.
And running MS without a TPS is possible, but gives some reduced functionality.

And if you plan to keep the ignition system as is, the switch is needed for that.

Best regards

Heribert
