Switch type tps

Hello everybody, i'm a newbie here and i like to salute all of you;
My engine, a nissan fj20e has a switch type tps, can i run ms2 without it or i do need to convert to a potentiometer one, because i don't think i can find one that suits...

You can run without a TPS. That's how we are running our red Miata, which also has a switch type TPS.

I had to deal with the same issue when I had my CA20E engine. I used a later style TPS from a Maxima or 240SX. The later sensors have shorter mounting ears and two connectors. I made a bracket to go over the sensor and connect it to the throttle body. I can take a picture tomorrow if you want.

I.e like accel enrichement,...etc

A TPS lets you use alpha-N at low RPM to cope with aggressive cams, and can be used for acceleration enrichment. Other than that, you're not missing much.

I still have to get some pictures later today. I sourced mine at the junkyard and paid about $5 for it. Here are some Nissan part numbers that may help you out: 22620-18E00 or 22620-18E01.

I asked about the tps and gave the nissan guy the part numbers, but he told me that they are not available here in Lebanon, and my fj20e tps is clock wise, with 8mm rotating shaft, so i'm forced to buy a one from haltech that fits perfectly the shaft and is CW;
But if anyone has another solution please i'll be happy to hearing from you, cause the haltech sensor costs a damn freaking amount of $$$

Ah, sorry man, i missed the point, the throttle shaft is counter clockwise not clockwise, so do you know any other tps which is CCW? and fits?

A "backwards" TPS can be fixed by rewiring it - swap the ground and VREF wires, and it'll read the other way.
