IAC Question

Post by Robert Spencer »

Hello,

My issue is a IAC valve that will not Idle down unless I turn the engine off and restart. It then goes to the proper setting. This works every time after the engine warms up. I have MS11, 2.886, V3, Relay Board, LC-1, EDIS, Chrysler 3.3 L V/6 TB and IAC valve. This is on a 2276 ACVW. This is a cold start datalog. Also, I have found that the engine will not restart while rolling down the road in gear. I have to use the starter, which then starts instantly. This seems strange? Thank for any help.

Try increasing the minimum # of steps for the IAC to move, from 1 up to somewhere from 5 to 8. Some IAC valves can stick if only asked to move one step at a time.

Matt,

That worked perfect. Went to 8 and all is great. Thank you!
