Stim power supply and RPM reading

Hi all,

I' ve just build an MS2 V3 from DIYAutoTune, everything went fine and made the mods for EDIS. I'm using a 9v 300ma AC adapter with JimStim.

First, the voltage in Megatune fluctuates from 7.30 to 8.70 so I change to a 12V 400ma AC adapter and I found no rpm signal. MS2 connect OK and all the pots works except RPM.

Went back to the 9V adapter and is working again but... the rpm fluctuates about +/-50rpm and after 5-10 minutes from working fine, voltage start fluctuating more than before and rpm goes crazy...

Any help would be very appreciated!!

Thanks.

I tried a 2200uf capacitor for smoothing the voltage and works very well, now with the 9v PS I'm geting 8.20-8.30v.

The 12v PS still doesn't work, don't know why because megatune report 12.8v..

Ok, sorry for asking and answering myself but maybe can help anybody :)

I change the pull-up jumpers in JimStim from 5v to 12v and works with the 12V PS.

Now I see the DN2916 in the MS2 board get a little warmer, not unconfortable to touch but it's warm, I did'nt solder any jumper for IAC yet...
