The code loaded on my ms-ii v3 board latest software used (v2.891?) and all testing was okay. Whenever I power up the stim and megasquirt board the d14 led is on (ms board) and the fuel pump on the stim is also stuck "on". The tuning window is up and I only get a voltage reading but nothing changes when I turn the trim knobs. Not sure what I might have wired wrong or if the board is bad. Any advice is appreciated.

I'd first try reloading the firmware and maybe try another code variant. The first thing I'd suspect under these circumstances is firmware corruption.

I downloaded the current s19 ready to load file and the most recent downloader 2.0 and it now just makes the fp led flash. This is the only difference from reloading the firmware. The ready to load link was the only choice to use as the link on the website did not work and the downloader would not automatically update as it said there was no internet connection. All I have been doing is trying to load the firmware file.

Ok, once you load the firmware, you have to set the ECU type to make the FP LED stop flashing and anything work.

I appreciate the help I am not sure when you say set the ecu type. I am assuming you are talking about when I go into megatune and set msii etc. If this is what you mean I can try that again. Is it normal for the fp to flash when just the s19 file is loaded? That explains that just not sure why the D14 has a dull illumination. Once again thanks for the help.

I selected and saved the ms-ii in general settings and the tuning knobs work...mostly. The trp is maxed at 99% the 02 is not working. The coolant and mat are working well. I think the RPM will not be working due to input selection. Feeling better overall about the system though. If you have any insight on this hitch that would be great.

Ok, sounds like you're making good progress. The O2 sampling is keyed to RPM, so at zero RPM there is zero sampling.

I am having the same exact issues. LED D14 is constantly on and when i first load the firmware my fp light is blinking but when i go and same the msII settings under megatune the fp light doesnt blink anymore it just stays on. No knobs are working at all and both temp gauges pinned at 170 and my tps is maxed out. getting no response from ecu at all or knobs. I was wondering if it has anything to do with the crystal Y1 that is installed if it is bad or broken. everything is put together right i rechecked everything putting it together 3 times all diodes in right direction no sloppy solder. I dont understand what i did wrong if its not the crystal. thats the only thing i know of that says EXTREMLY fragile do not break in the instructions on assembly. Right now all i have jumpered is D1 and D2. The ignition jumpers - JS10(ign) to IGBTOUT - TSEL to OPTOUT - TACHSELECT to OPTOIN - XG1 to XG2. Also i removed R38 and R37 because i am intalling more ignition drivers.

MS2 does not use the Y1 crystal; it has a separate crystal on the daughter card. Were you able to load firmware successfully? If so, the crystal on the daughter card is working correctly.

I ordered the MSII V3.0. in step #38 it says to install Y1 on the pcb board itself not the daughtercard. Should i remove it then? I was able to install the software but i am having communiction issues aparently. Im talking about the Y1 that goes on the little silver rectngle on the PCB board itself. If the crystal is ruined could this cause communiction issues? These were the instruction i had recieved on here - - 38. Install and solder Y1 {300-1002-ND, 32768 Hz crystal, the very small silver can with the two tiny wires}. Note that Y1 is physically fragile, do not drop it. The crystal will fail to operate if it touches other components, so be sure it is clear of these. Bend the leads at a 90-degree angle so that the crystal lies parallel to the PCB. Note: You may want to “glue” the crystal to the printed circuit board with a cushion of silicone rubber adhesive (RTV) or 'hot glue'. A small "blob" on the under side of the crystal will cushion the crystal and dampen any mechanical vibrations. A small metallic ground pad is provided for this purpose.

I have also just found out something. I did not install D1 or D2. Instead i ran jumpers bc it was what was recommended. I found out that if i run a jumper wire between both the D1 jumper to the D2 jumper i can control my RPM's on the stim and to the computer. The IG light lights up and the I1 lights up alternating with I2 but I2 is dim compared to I1. Still have no control over anything else. Batt voltage is pinned, tps maxed, Coolant temp and Intake temp still at 170 for both, map sensor pinned. no resonse from stim what so ever except RPM's. Im lost lol Some help woul dbe greatly appreciated.

Also if i move the O2 knob just a hair it works but turned anymore it stops working. Also when i jumper those and the switch on the rpm knob is on pnp the pump light goes out and the IDL light stays off the entire time. but if i switch the rpm knob to npn the pump light goes on and nothing works at all.
