How to connect rubber fuel line to hard tubing.

I have decided the cheapest way to plumb the fuel line for my '81 El Camino TBI conversion is to bend up hard line (aluminum or steel). I was planning to use FI rated rubber hose with FI type clamps to go from the hard line to the TBI, fuel pump, and filter, but how do you get that "bump" in the hard line like the factory stuff has so the rubber hose does not pop off?
Thanks,
Clay

On the original Lucas

installation on my RV8, some of the pipes had these, some not.
You can get flaring tools for brake pipes - perhaps there are dies suitable for your size?

So did you just clamp the hose to the unflared tubing? I know the pressure is low, but I want to be safe about this...

Get a double flair tool kit. Just do the first half of the flair to get the bump.

Thanks. I think I may be trying to make this harder than it is...

Mine are just connected with fuel clips directly to standard hard tubing— it's only done 1500 miles or so but they seem to be ok so far.

I used my brake line flaring tool and created a small lip for my hoses. Works like a charm. I also did them without extra bumps and never had a problem.
