MAPdot vs. mapDOT

Post by drholl »

Hi guys,
The car runs great, except, you knew there was going to be an "Except"!
Anyway, what's the difference between "MAPdot" and "mapDOT"?

I use Eric Fahlgren's MegaTune 2.25 P3.

When I cruise on the freeway at about 60 MPH I get a slow vibration that I can feel. It's about 1 second per full cycle. It will make you nauseous after awhile. I thought it was missing but upon datalogging I found this. It's a word file so it should be easy to open. Maybe Powerpoint would have been better. Anyrate what's the difference between the two? Is there a formula that I can figure out what is causing it? Do you know what causes it? Otherwise the car runs great. This just became obvious recently.

Thanks
Holl

I guess I don't know how to upload a file as it doesn't appear to have been uploaded.
But it looks like a very small square wave of one second duration and between -43 to +25.
OK I finally noted the size limitation.

Here's a .JPG of the anomaly.
Computers hate me.

They should be the same thing. Mind posting the whole data log?

Thanks Matt.
It's been awhile since I needed help.
But the two traces, one of "MAPdot" and one of "mapDOT", as seen on MegaTune are definitely different.
And here's the .MSQ also.

Thanks again.

I'll repost and make the file smaller.
