MSefi.com read only forum (Jan.15,2018)

Currently a registered user for TS, and the program works great. However I have the 'automatic update check' set, but whenever I try to update, it says update failed, check log file.

Cannot figure out what it means by this, as I cannot figure out the correct tab to click on the view the log file. I know I can use the website and download the latest TunerStudio, but would rather not for feat of using all my licenses.

Using Windows 7 with TS 0.999.1

That is a old version!
The newer version tells what to do.
On windows 7 tunerstudio doesn't allow TunerStudio to alter the installation files for security, so it fails.
There are 2 things you can do:
1) download the latest installer from the link in my signature and upgrade with that.
Or
2) righclick on the icon you use to start TunerStudio, select "Run as Administrator". Then do a check for updates and TunerStudio will be able to auto update.

Doh!

Had to do that before with my desktop, niot sure why I didnt think if that. Thanks Phil.
