testing Tach circuit

MSII, V3.0. latest code.

I'm just trying to verify that my tach cicruit works. It's set up for VR input so I know the Stim has issues doing it. I havent been able to adjust the pots (R52 and R56) to get any sort of reading. Everything else works like TPS, IAT and CLT, I just can't get an RPM signal happening, therefore no O2, no injectors etc..

Any other tricks to get the thing to have a tach input?

thanks in advance

Richard.

It should work OK on a Stim with the pots fully counterclockwise. Could you post a copy of your MSQ file? I'd like to check it for RPM-killing settings.

Hey,

Haven't played with many settings in the msq yet. Didn't actually realise I had to.... Though maybe that's me changing something I shouldn't have.

No obvious RPM-killers there. What sort of Stim do you have?

There's a switch next to the RPM pot - what position is it in?

Hi,

time for testing has been short.

In either switch position I still get nothing - which position is it meant to be in?

IAC, CLT, TPS all work nicely and O2 changes value if I turn it on and off.

thanks.

I believe it needs to be in NPN mode. If you change the board over to Hall effect circuits, can you get an RPM signal then?
