want to go efi need help

i have a 82 mustang with a turbo sbc in it. its carb right now and i want to go efi.
right now in my car i have a painless wiring through the hole car with the performance swich panel 8 circuit. so i was wondering if i can still ues the painless set up and go efi or do i need to get all new wire harness.

An SBC in a Ford? Interesting I must say.....
I am not familiar with your Painless harness, but I think you will certainly need a harness that will work with MS (ie. injectors, iac, sensors, ignition, etc.). Unless that is, the Painless harness has provisions for EFI, which I would doubt!

You'll almost certainly need a new engine harness for MS, but that can interfaced to any car one. All that is needed is a suitable high current 12volt supply switched by the ignition and ground. The usual way would be to run a new supply direct from the battery via a relay and switch that relay with the original ignition circuit.
If your engine was later available with EFI, it can be useful to obtain an engine loom from that, and use it as the basis for the MS one.
