If you have the registered version of TunerStudio, you can change the gauge by
- right clicking on the dashboard and going into designer mode.
- right click on the gauge, a popup menu will come up.
- Select:
Properties --> "Gauge Limits and Values"
In that dialog you can change the min, max red line etc...
There is some more about modifying the gauge cluster here:
http://www.tunerstudio.com/index.php/ma ... d-designer
If you are using the Lite! version, you can change the max in by modifying the ini file.
In the file:
[YourProjectFolder]\projectCfg\mainController.ini
You will find a section:
[GaugeConfigurations]
In there look for the line that references the engine speed. In MSII base code the line looks like this:
tachometer = rpm, "Engine Speed", "RPM", 0, 8000, 300, 500, 5000, 6000, 0, 0
Each comma delimited value has a purpose in this order:
;Name Var Title Units Lo Hi LoD LoW HiW HiD vd ld
You can see the 8000.
Now rather than edit it directly in that file only to have your changes overwritten if you upgrade your firmware, you can create a new file in that folder named "custom.ini". In that folder put this:
Code: Select all
[GaugeConfigurations]
;Name Var Title Units Lo Hi LoD LoW HiW HiD vd ld
tachometer = rpm, "Engine Speed", "RPM", 0, 10000, 300, 500, 7500, 9000, 0, 0
What is in the custom.ini file will over-ride the mainController.ini file and the values I changed in the custom.ini will move your max to 10,000, redline to 9000 and yellow line to 7500
