Dies when shifting in high RPM only???

So here is the deal, I have always done my own tuning. I have been doing it for more than 4 years. I took my MK1 16v GTI to the dyno, the Dude that did it also did some tuning to get more power out of it. So since then when ever I run out a gear, Like over 5k, 6k, and go to shift it just craps out and dies. I can catch it by shiting from say 3rd to 4th and it will bump start back up when I let the clutch out but i am losing lots of power, plus its pissing me off.
I have the MS2 3.57 running 2.885.
The other issue that it had after the shop (PRE) did some tuning was that, when i would let it decell from around 3k to a idle it would try and catch it self but then die.
So I just adjusted my X-tau and it helped the idle part. Now it will drop to a idle from 3k and idle smooth
I have not had a chance to drive it in the last few days as i put in a new clutch. I am looking for a good a X-tau table that i can try for the decell. As i think thats my issue.
Or if some one has any idea of what could be causing this issue.
Just a little run down on my set up;
VW 9A 2.0 16v
630cc high Ohm Injectors
12.1 comp
Just added 3431 t3/t4 turbo set at 1bar (14.5psi)
FMIC, RS style BOV
LC-1 wide band, Bocsh 044
I only run VP110.
PRE did the tune before i put the turbo on it so I know that its not causing the issue.
The motor is a monster, runs nice and has lots and lots of power. I just cant seem to get this one issue resovled..
Please help.

Just so you know I have 3 VWs all running MS with no problems at all.
87 jetta GLI, ABA 16VT 18psi, MS2.2
89 Golf GTI, VR6, MS 2.1
84 Rabbit 2.0 16VT, MS2 3.57, this is the one that I am having the issue with..

Any and all input is welcome. I think it has to do with my X-tau decell but i am not sure.
Thanks to all..

the Dude that did it also did some tuning to get more power out of it.
Sounds like the Dude is the problem!

I'd be taking it back to "the Dude that did it" and get it corrected or get my money back and tune it myself!

Just an old guys point of view.....

Good luck,

Ken

nice name btw! :D

I tried to do that, the Dude said that it was because i did not have a cold start valve. We all know that is crap. Then He said that it was a mechanical issue with my motor. Wrong again. I will not be taking it back to them. It cost me $400 the first time and i am not about to get naild for any more money because they messed up and wont admit it.
Now i just need to fix it my self.
what i need is a good sample of a X-tau set up that I can look at. I am thinking that is the issue. I am just not sure..

Ouch!! $400 to get your car to run badly ain't cheap!

Sounds like the Dude it full of it, huh?

I can't help much with X-Tau but, post up your msq and a log showing the problem so we can take a look. I'm sure some one can help you here and it won't cost $400 either!

Good luck,

Ken

Ya I got screwed, I paid to have it fine tuned on the dyno at $100 an hour. I thought it would only take a hour or 2. Then when i picked it up they said it took 4 hours and that because I dont have a idle valve it dies. Its all B.S... No matter its all taken care of now. I will never take a car or send any one to PRE.

I did get it fixed today. It was The X-Tau. I did some reading, Lots and lots of reading and got it figuard out. Its running sweet on 10psi. I love it. :yeah!:
This is my first high comp turbo motor and man is it fun. this motor is 11.3.1 comp with 10psi.
