No rpm

Good morning,
My name is J.B.
I am in the process of building an MS-II V.3.. I am running MSII Rev 2.905, processor type MS-II daughterboard.
I passed the power supply and communications tests and have completed the input section.
I am not seeing any tach input. If I power down I can vary the other inputs.
D1 is jumpered, d2 is shorted, jumpers are placed at Tach select-opto in, XG1-XG2 and OPT OUT-T SEL.
I have tried standard stim and jimstim for testing. Jimstim tests for tach out confirmed OK.
Put an O-scope on Tach select jumper, D2, R12, and op out jumper.
I can see and vary a signal at all locations , scope is many years out of calibration, but I can see and vary the signal from in to out at IRQ1.
Processor was removed for this test.
Any ideas?
Tnx. J.B.

With 5 V jumped to TSEL, I get .09 volts at pin 14 of U1. With no voltage jumped, I get 4.19 VDC at pin 14 of U1.
Mods.... please move my post to the correct forum. Sorry, not off to a good start!

Please post a copy of your tune file - this will help rule out "RPM killers" in the settings.

It is, and I noticed you have all the lag factors set to zero. Try changing them to 50%. Also, dd you by any chance just open MegaTune and start composing an MSQ before you connected to the Megasquirt or loaded a valid file? If so, MegaTune will default to a file full of zeros. If that's the case, I recommend reloading the firmware and starting with the default values - either edit them in the Megasquirt or save them and edit them offline.

That worked! Thanks! :D
I thought that Megatune would not work with that late a firmware, I must have misread something.
I get a boatload of errors on startup in Megatune, Tuner Studio seems to not have the errors.
I will attempt to reload a fresh 2.90500.
Thanks again. Have a great Thanksgiving. :yeah!:

At this point, I don't see any reason to stick with MegaTune.
