Turbo upgrade/ignition timing

Hello,
My setup at the moment is a Nissan CA18DET with head work and the standard T25 turbo. I just purchased a GT2860RS, and I plan on installing it in the next couple of weeks. I'm aware that I'm going to have to retune. I'm not too worried about the fuel map, but I am curious what effects the larger turbo will have on my ignition timing requirements. Does anyone have direct experience with this?
Thanks,
Ryan

I would expect the larger turbine to drop the exhaust manifold pressure, I would expect this to reduce pumping losses and heat in the engine and move the engine away from det, may be wrong on that though,
also depending on the change of efficiency of where the engine is running on the new compressor map (assuming the new compressor is more efficient) the charge should be cooler, and therefore again further from det...
however, I would pull a couple of degree's out of the whole map, then add it back a degree at a time keeping an eye on the plugs if you get to the advance you were at I'd leave it there untill you can get on a dyno.

Thanks for the reply. I should also mention that I will be getting rid of the stock intercooler at the same time. Hopefully, I won't see any more 160 deg F charge temps.

the new inter cooler should move you further from det still,
but of course nothing is ever guarenteed!

Thanks again for your reply. I'm really looking forward to this upgrade. It is the first power upgrade I've done since I put the engine in the car.
