Injector resistors

I have a toyota 22ret i put a megasquirt 2 v3 on. The stock harness has resistors between the battery and the injectors. My question is would the resistors cause a problem when tuning the INJECTOR OPEN TIME and PWM TIME THRESHOLD it only will idle when those numbers are above 1.5 - 1.7. I really dont want to burn out my injectors so is it safe to run the higher number settings with the resistor pack in line or should i take the resistor pack out?

thanks
Adam

With the resistors in place, it should be impossible to burn out the injectors.
However, there are theoretical benefits in removing them and driving low impedance injectors directly - that is the whole purpose of the PWM flyback damping circuit. My MS has been driving low impedance injectors directly for 4 years with no problems. But do follow the tuning instructions to the letter.
