Opti spark use

Trying to figure which way to go and need input. I have a street rod with an LT1/4L60E. I have built an MsII with a relay box. Opti Spark will only live so long in factory trim and I want to replace (some/all) of it with the MS II unit. Researhing the opti spark and some say it is the high voltage that kills it along with moisture. Thinking of using the opti spark trigger going thru a QuadSpark 4 channel ignition module and two IGN-4 four tower coil packs. Problem is the coil packs don't lend themselves to neat. Mounting them on the plenum is out because of headers. Mounting them on the firewall would work and run the plug wires under the headers. Another option is to use an EDIS wheel and bypass the opti spark altogether. Which way to go? Any inputs?

Right now EDIS is the most stable option - using the Opti to trigger a distributorless ignition is only possible with experimental MS3 code.
