MSefi.com read only forum (Jan.15,2018)

Hi Guys,

The other day I wondered exactly what some ignition / tach settings did, so I had a look at the manual but, unless I was being really dumb I was unable to find any details. See attached file... These are the settings I was wondering about:

Next-Pulse Tolerance
Cranking %
Afterstart %
Normal Running %
Check Tach Sync Options

Could anyone explain these or point me to the info please... Do any of the settings look wrong?

Ahhhh, thats what I was looking for thanks Lance, strangely I get a different page when I press F1 from Tuner studio...
Lance, what would be the standard settings for Cranking %, Afterstart %, Normal Running % & Check Tach Sync Options?

There is a default MSQ for 2.891 here: http://www.megamanual.com/files/code/2.89defaults.msq You can get all the defaults there, and these are the recommended values to start tuning. A default 2.905 MSQ isn't there, but I will put it up shortly (not much changed between 2.891 and 2.905 in the basic setting values though). <edit>2.905 default MSQ is now here: http://www.megamanual.com/files/code/2905defaults.msq</edit>

You probably don't get the latest page when you press F1 because you have an old INI. To get the latest INI, and assuming you are running 2.905 code, see this page: http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/code.htm and follow the instructions starting at #10.
