I have a MS 1 v 2.2 that I bought already assembled. I downloaded the hyperterminal program to my laptop, and ran the check of my cable by shorting pins 2 & 3, all OK. I downloaded Megatune 2.25 P1, and set up the constants. I hooked up the Megastim, and the display gauges on Megatune work and respond to the tweaks of Megastim, but when I try to burn the constants, or the generated VE table to the ECU, I get a "could not connect to the controller" message, and all of the Megatune gauges go to pink, and stop responding. If I unplug the power supply to the Megastim, and reconnect it, the Megatune gauges respond again, but I cannot burn anything to the controller.

Could I have a bad board, or do you suspect my laptop???

THANK YOU LANCE!!!!! I followed the links you sent, and can burn and fetch to and from the ECU now. Will keep you posted on the progress!!
