MSefi.com read only forum (Jan.15,2018)

I have had trouble with TS locking up for the past few days on my MS V3. The net book is an EEE PC 1000h with XP home.
Its worked well for quite a while.
I saved my files and uninstalled TS. Removed all the folders from the V1.006 version and installed V1.007.
When it runs, it still has all the settings, registration and shows 1.006 on the title bar.

Any idea why?

IIRC that is a minor glitch with 1.007..... TS displays 1.006 but it is actually 1.007

Yeah, 1.007 is really 1.006 which is really 1.004
The only real difference has been the included ini files.

The new stuff is in the beta which is about to turn to the new stable, then there will be an auto update.

But more importantly... The lockup. The whole computer or just TS?

Just the comm. I can shut doown the TS, re start and it still will not connect. It takes a reboot to usually get it to function.

Tonight the SSD arrived so I'm reloading to Win 7 32 bit. I'll know more tomorrow

If it is the comms that is shutting down, it is more likely you are having Serial corruption issues. A good cable will probably do more that an SSD.

Tbis is a Radio Shack cable I have used for years. I am now leaninf to a failing install of the OS.
