EDIS 4 module distance from sensor

Thinking of putting the EDIS 4 module next to the MegaSquirt II box and have both under the dash. Wondering if anyone has run what will turn out to be a shielded 8' long lead from the sensor to the EDIS module? (my sensor is a AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 5S1739)

Did some searching but did not find what I wanted, would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction

I don't know why that wouldn't work just fine. I got rid of my EDIS module, so I had to rewire the vr sensor all the way to MS which is located under the dash also. An easy 7 feet I would guess. I wouldn't doubt that feeding the EDIS with a wire that long would work just as well.

Can't see it being a problem with a decent screened cable. You may have to increase the wire gauge between the EDIS module and the coils, though, if this is much longer than normal.

Thanks everyone, this is what I was hoping for...... can make the wire gauge slightly larger, grounded on one end and it sounds like it should work.
