Problem with leds

I have assembled ms2 v3 and have latest code version and i am first timer with these. I am installing it to Suzuki gsx-r 600 SRAD. Problem is that leds lights arent working at megasquirt board and rpm signal seems kind of weird, because when turning rpm pot it jumps to 3000 rpm and then show rpm and goes fine up. But when turning pot other way it works fine. I have checked all troubleshooting tips and tried them but didnt help. So i am wondering if i have set something wrong at settings?

Didn't mention that i am using fuel injection only. I have double checked that stimulator works like it should be. Tested leds and tach signal and they worked fine. About that megasquirt serial communications testing, i get echo till that jumper from pin 12 to pin 13 on the 40-pin processor socket phase but after i installed processor to its place it stopped doing that echo. That clock gauge works too. I am using hall input circuit for testing tach signal with stimulator.

So stimulator led and tach tests worked fine but when connecting to megasquirt board the leds arent working both stim and mega board. Found out that voltage regulator and pin 8 of 555 chip of stimulator has only 3,27 volts. D3 has 0,06 volts other diodes D1 and D2 has batterys voltage and D4 3,27 volts. Boards are cleaned with acetone and soldered joints are checked. Could that voltage regulator or 555 chip or D3 be broken?

The stim gets its 5 volts from the MS 5 volt rail. Via pin26 and of course ground. So check the MS is giving 5 volts at the output of its regulator (U5).

There's a couple of odd settings in the MSQ. Some that I noticed:

Skip pulses is set to 232. That's going to take a LONG time before it starts to sync.

Rev limiter has a lower rev limit of 13,000 RPM and a hard cut limit of 500 RPM.

Ok I changed that skip pulses to 3 as i saw it somewhere to be good set and hard cut limit is now 13500. RPM moves now slightly less spikely. MS regulator gets that 4,97 volts with good battery.

Still in stuck..

"Pin 8 on the 555 chip on the stim is its power supply. Without 5 volts on pin 8, the 555 will not operate, even if it is in working condition. Pin 8 is closest the CLT pot. Check the voltage on pin 8 (light the LED or 5 volts), using the boot header hole nearest H1, furthest from the CPU, for a ground. If you don't have 5 volts (after checking all the previous items), check for inadequate soldering and excess flux around pins 26 and 28 of the stim's DB37." From Troubleshooting.

Pins 26 and 28 of the stims db37 looks good. And that pin 8 has that 3,27 volts still. So does that means there is something wrong with 555 chip? Or is there some other reasons why that pin 8 looks 3,27 volts instead of 5 volts like it should be?

If the 5 volt rail is correct at the MS regulator but not at the stim 555, work your way back to the DB37 connector and then along the vRef circuit in the MS to see where it's going low.

Here are voltages what i got from that picture:

MOV1 11,23V, C15 11,23V, D11 11,23V, D13 0V, D10 10,46V, D12 10,46V, C16 10,43V, U5 Vin 10,43V Vout 4,97V, D9 10,43V, C17 4,97V, C18 4,97V, F1 4,97V, D19V 4,89V S12 11,24V, L1 4,89V, C19 4,89V, L2 4,89V, C22 4,89V

R21 0V, C20 0V, C21V

R22 0V, R23 0V, C24 0V, C25 0V, Y1 0V

Battery voltage was 12,30V

I dont have much idea how much those should be so are those voltages even close what they should be?

Are you measuring things under load? You should see actual battery volts at MOV. Disconnecting the battery to measure it can give a misleading reading.
C22 is the last component in the vRef chain, so if you are getting 5v there (with the stim plugged in) but much lower than this at the 555, I'd look at the soldering to the DB37 - both on the MS and stim. And don't forget the ground. What voltage do you see at the 555 with the DVM grounded to the MS?

Battery and stim are connected to ms board and pots were turned. It shows 3,27V when grounded to heat sink at ms board. Will check soldering once more time and maybe replace old ones.

Ok cleaned and soldered db37 from both stim and ms board. The voltages were same as before but Fidl led started to light slightly and nothing else changed.

And then after that i decided to start checking what kind of resistances i get. Didnt notice that i had power on at first so then noticed something is warming up. CPU and regulator from stim were getting damn hot. Then waited couple of mins and tested volts again and noticed that they started to warm up again and pin 8 of 555 got 2,89 volts now and regulator 3,30 volts. Didnt notice anything else getting warmed up.

Did that measuring resistances while power on cause 555 chip or regulator get broken?
