Tach signal problem

Hi

I am unable to get a tach signal from my MS board when it is hooked up to the VR sensor. I have MS-II V3.0 main board and am running v2.905 code. When the jimstim is attached to the board, the tach and fuel injection signals work fine. When I hook only the VR sensor up to the board and try to kick start the motor bike, no tach signal (or fuel injection) is produced. I have tested the output of the VR circuit with an oscilloscope with both the stim and sensor attached and they are identical. These signals were tested at pin 1 of U7 and over the Tselect jumper. Attached is my MSQ.

This problem is becoming quiet urgent and any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I also had a tach signal problem once. I had to add a 12v pull up on the signal line going to the controler. First I used a electronic ignition called Pertronix and then when my motor dropped dead I thought it was the Pertronix so I changed to points and there too I had to add the 12 volt pull up so the controller would read the signal. I found the problem was mechanical inside the engine and not the electronics so when I got it running again I removed the points and went back to the Pertronix ignition because the points would sometimes make the motor miss for some un-known reason.
The pull up is a simple 12 volt power wire connected to a 1K resistor and the other end of the resistor connects to the signal line going to the controller. It keeps the signal line voltage from bouncing up and down on it own.
I hope this helps...

Could you check if that's really the tune file loaded? Because I couldn't open it in TunerStudio, and opening it with a text editor showed it appears to be blank except for a firmware definition.
