Smallest diameter 36-1 wheel? small VR sensors?

Post by pyropete125 »

Hi all,

I am wondering what the smallest diameter 36-1 wheel that can be used reliably? 4"?

how about a 72-1-1 wheel on a cam sprocket at 4.5"?

what about smaller vr sensors? I am trying to put this is in a very space limited cover.

thanks,
pete

You might do better using a hall effect sensor with limited distance between 'teeth' They are available in a package not much bigger than a TO92 transistor.
