injectors are ticking

I'm running ms2 v3. I just switched my engine over to a turbo set up and it's running good but my new injectors are ticking. I'm using 460cc low impedance rx7 injectors and the motor is a 2.0L. If you need more information about my set up please let me know. Can anyone look at my settings and see what I'm doing wrong? I'm very new at this can't seem to figure out the right settings. Thanks Dennis

Last night I was going to preview this but accidentally hit submit before I could read over it. The injectors are actually high impedance and when I change the injector characteristics to the high impedance setting according to megasquirts page I can't get it to run. I played around with the injector settings and it idles very well the way it's set but the injectors still tick loud. I know it has to be something simple I'm just not familiar with the system yet

I changed the injector characteristics for high impedance injectors when I got home and it wouldn't even start. The injectors meter at 14.4 ohms Once I got it to run it's soo rich it's basically pouring fuel out the tail pipe. So I put the settings back to low impedance and it runs great again but the injectors are still ticking. Spent a couple hours reading through the manuals and still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

You might try setting your PWM Current Limit to 100%. That would be the normal setting for high impedance injectors.
Fuel injectors are electromechanical devices. The ticking (clicking) of the injectors is not uncommon and would not normally indicate a problem!

Thank you I wouldn't usually be concerned but they seem to be really loud. After I changed the settings to high impedance then back to low they did seem to get quieter but tunerstudio is still set for low impedance. I took it for an easy drive around the neighborhood and it runs very well. I tried changing the injector open time but as I increase the number above 1 it just starts running really rich. All my wiring documented in my notebook and on the computer so I re traced the injector wiring which is pretty basic and everything is correct. I'm going to buy a back-up set of injectors and put them in and see what happens.

I hate to be redundant, but I would
not be too concerned about that! Particularly when you say the engine "runs very well". FWIW, I have heard
many injectors that are quite noisy.
I tried changing the injector open time but as I increase the number above 1 it just starts running really rich.
That would be expected IMO. Leave the dead time at 1ms unless, of course, you know the actual dead time of your injectors!
Per my post above..... Set the PWM Current Limit to 100% and leave it there!
Your attempt to
tune the noise out simply will not work IMO!
I think it would help if you posted a log of the engine running as it is now.
Opinions may vary on this, but I would
definitely not spend the money for other injectors just yet.

I'll post a log of it running tonight. The injectors have brand new seals and fit very snug in the fuel rail and intake manifold. I wonder if I'm hearing the tick louder because it resonates through the surrounding parts. I'm going to loosen the fuel rail to manifold bolts tonight and see if that helps. I did a quick qooqle search on loud injectors and seems like older cars with hard o-rings tend to hear the tick louder.

I did some searching and found a bunch of miata guys run these 460cc rx7 injectors and they run the injector open time at 1.185 ms Life had other plans tonight so I didn't get a chance to run a log. Ill see if I can get to it tomorrow night.

So I bumped the fuel pressure from 40 to 42 and changed the injector open time and PWM current limit and they seem to be happy. I don't know if they needed some run time or what. They still tick but with the hood shut it's not super loud anymore
