Need a simple summary

If it exists I've missed it. I need a SIMPLE chart form comparison of all the various versions of boards, daughter boards, chips, etc. and / or maybe a recommendation of "what I need."
I can assemble, I have considerable electronics experience
Here's what I currently have: GM HEI module triggered Holley Commander 950 4 bbl TBI on a Mopar 318/ later 360, and Innovate wide band O2
What I hope for:
Get a "self learning" version of MS, for temporary use in the present TBI, and which I can later ? convert to multiport. I can build a crank trigger when necessary, but will (at least) use the original distributor hi voltage / single coil. I can also build the manifold / injector bungs, and have parts and pieces out of Ford/ Mopar multiport stuff
So I want to be able to use MS for present distributor triggered TBI
Later go to single coil, crank triggered, multiport
Thanks

These links may help:

Get a "self learning" version of MS, for temporary use in the present TBI,
Currently, the closest thing to self learning behavior is VE Analyzer Live, and it is built into the registered version of TunerStudio so it can work with any MS variant.
and which I can later ? convert to multiport.
Pretty much any MegaSquirt version can be used with either TBI or multiport, although only the MS3 will run sequential injection.

Sounds easy enough - we did something similar on our Nova:

THANK YOU
Your post did not help directly, LOL, but because of your links I found this:
http://www.DIYAutoTune.com/faq/megasqui ... etails.htm
"MegaSquirt-II PCBv3.0 - Upgrading the processor gives lots of new and improved, features including a finer degree of fuel control (great for tuning idle with large injectors) and native ignition control. This is an affordable and feature packed unit that was just recently released and will be further developed to add more and more features over time. As this is based on the PCB3.0, it also has several upgrades making the unit more robust and harder to damage with a wiring mistake. Also has circuitry to directly drive a coil without an external ignitor. No upgrade needed for low-z injectors. Kit is $266. Assembled units are $420."
and since I (at least later on) would like to play with spark control, it looks like MS II v3 kit
Now do I understand, that the above system, and tuner software has a certain amount of 'self tune' capability?
I do, by the way, already have an Innovate wide band O2 setup. I've learned SOME about programming, using the Holley stuff.
I should have specified, I don't need sequential, but I'd like to play with batch or bank. I have a suitable Torker style manifold to mod for the injector mounts, and have figured how to do that, but I intend to "simply start out" by replacing the Holley ECU with MS on the Commander 950 TBI system.
NOW begs the next hurdle, in the spirit of the "PNP" and even if I have to build my own housing, do you guys have the connectors that would mate in place of the Holley Commander 950 ECU? I don't know if these might be the same as OEM, GM, etc, or not.
Anyplace shows this info?
By the way, Matt, I know you do or did run a Mopar with MS. Are you by chance a member of For A Bodies Only?

That description of the MS2 V3 was obviously written years ago, as it is not "just recently released" . We now have the MS3.
This might help a bit:-

OK, "I THINK" (have not for sure verified, that the GM connector is the same CONNECTOR as my Holley Commander 950. I might have to repin one or the other to maintain interchangeability (for a swappable spare)
Can anyone confirm that the below is the same connector (not necessarily same as Holley pinouts) AND more important, is there any real differnce between this board/ cpu and the prospect I posted above? In other words is this earlier link
http://www.DIYAutoTune.com/faq/megasqui ... etails.htm
essentially electrically the same and same processor, features, as the one below?

FWIW.... I'm not sure which connector you're asking about but, I use a Holley Commander (900 cfm) TB on my SBC and the connectors for the TPS and IAC are definitely
not the same as the GM TPS/IAC plugs!
Not sure that helps though..........

I'm referring to the PNP ecu, hit the link I posted. Looking to make the ECU's swappable. The connectors on the Holley/ Megasquirt ECU
The [DIYPNPD56-K] appears (for GM) appears to have the same connector as the Holley Commander 950

Unfortunately, I don't have a Commander 950 to compare it with. I know some Accel-DFI systems used that connector.

Thanks for the replay, Matt. Guess I'll have to rustle around the junkyards 'er somethin.

You could use one of our DIYBOBs to make an adapter harness.

Thanks, and I was pretty much getting to that next, LOL.
Stuff to think on. At 65, "things" move more slowly around here lately.

Don't know how "young" you are, but I have what amounts to pretty severe arthritis. That and some other health problems has REALLY slowed me down. heck when I was "only" 48 I was still tower climbing part of the time. I always had physically demanding jobs, and used to be in shape.
