adding alcohol/water to reduce detonation

I am running a low pressure mechanical blower through a primary throttle plate that feeds the input of a turbocharger. The turbocharger has a 2nd. throttle plate on the pressure side. The first throttle plate [between the superchargers] has a alcohol/water venturi arrangement that adds the cooling mix in proportion to the flow of air. The amount of mix is controlled by an orifice in the liquid line that feeds the venturi. Because the vehicle is used primarily for touring, I would like to eliminate all water/alcohol flow -unless detonation situation occurs. This would require a water shutoff solenoid. I purchased Viatrack KnocksenseMS & had intended to control the solenoid through the CLT out of this device but Boris Mohar [the device engineer] stated that the CLT output is no longer active & that MegaSquirt is capable of controlling a water solenoid upon detonation. It appears to me that he is incorrect. Timing retard is an already outlined improvement to my MS 2.888 V-3 board during detonation [knock], but I see no means to control a water solenoid. Could someone please advise.

This post remained unanswered because I did not state my processor & code version. My error!! For those that may review the post during a search, The answer is outlined in the manual under: MegaSquirt II spare port configuration.

Try using the Output Port Settings, set to when KnockRetard > 0.
